I'm indifferent to a Pokemon unless something about it stands out to me. It could be a cool design, a unique role for it to play, or being a bro in a playthrough that makes me like it or a stupid design, annoying presence, or lack of utility that makes me hate it. But a lot of Pokemon are just too ordinary for me to muster up strong feelings about them.

That's because GF has sucked at making good designs since Gen 1 with a few exceptions

This, plus for me I just can't give two shits about most Legendaries. they make the game boring for me, and I usually don't bother catching them.

The only time I used a legendary seriously was Arceus to just wreck through Platinum's Elite Four because I could no longer give a shit about that game.

I've heard a lot of people hate on Gen 4 and wonder why. Was it the loading times? They also state Gen 5 was too linear and boring. Makes me worried for Gen 6 if they go full retard and the game does not match it's hype. 3D cannot save everything or else battle revolution would be a great game.

Actually, I feel indifferent towards gen 1 Pokemon more than any other. The designs are mostly so simple that they just kind of exist. Other gens actually mix things up and end up with better successes and worse failures because of it.

I can honestly say I actually like all of these, which is surprising as hell. I didn't realize I like so many Pokemon. There were like 2 that I was on the edge between like and indifferent towards, but I could think of something I liked about every single one, and most brought back specific pleasant memories when I thought of the Pokemon.

It was originally only like and dislike, but after an outcry for more options I added indifferent. OK/meh are pretty much the same as indifferent anyways.
Forcing people to make a choice doesn't give true results anyways. I'm not even complaining though, just curious about people's reasons for feeling indifferent.

Like/dislike responses are obviously preferable, but if they were forced to choose their response wouldn't be true no matter which way they went.
Indifference shows us something besides the most liked/hated Pokemon. It may give us the most forgettable Pokemon, or one so unremarkable that people just don't have any feelings towards it at all.

I don't dislike Tangela,but on the other hand I never cared for it or Tangrowth for that matter.

They are the Pokemon who are just there for others' taste.

No is clearly the answer denoting a negative feeling towards the Pokemon. Better wording might be Like/Indifferent/Dislike, but that's basically what they're supposed to mean and what people are voting for. Since it is possible to neither like something nor dislike it a middle option is necessary.

To be fair, a friend of mine had really hyped the game up to begin with. I didn't really have much interest in the gen as it was. It wasn't to memorable for me either, but perhaps when I'm done my Nuzlocke SoulSilver run I'll give it another try.

I will eventually make sheets on the leaderboard for all the types.
Surveys for the different aspects of all the gens could be next, but that will have to wait awhile.

First will be the survey for gen 6 after it's been out for a month or so.
Then a resurvey of the top 10% of the leaderboard, this time with extra options like:
>Love (2 points)
>Like (1 point)
>Indifferent (0 points)
>Dislike (-1 point)
>Hate (-2 points)

After that if /vp/ isn't satisfied with the results, or isn't tired of my surveys by then, we will have a tournament of the top 64 from that survey to determine /vp/'s true favorite Pokemon.

With Pokemon like Mewtwo, Mawile, Ninetales, Tropius, and Kyogre I thought this would be a tight race for the winner.
But the unexpected underdog, Aron, comes out of nowhere to beat them all by at least 12%.
This is the first time I've been legitimately surprised by these results.
