Am I the only one who is hyped for the new anime? Something about seems more exciting, and hey we might get into ash's character a bit more now that they are exploring his past

Out of curiosity, why did people have hope for previous ones? I know why people have it this time (potentially older looking Ash, childhood friend etc.) but why in previous ones?

I'm not chastising you for watching a kid's show, but I think that getting hyped over the new pokemon series being deeper and more mature is a bit silly. I think people have been getting their hopes up every time a new series starts.
