So I jsut bought a 3ds, because I gotta catch 'em all.

Either way, you guys were always posting what looked like QR codes for varrious pokemon and I was wondering what that was all about.

The QR codes are for the Pokédex 3D, and they don't do anything besides some minor achievement popups.
You don't need a 3DS to catch every single pokémon until X/Y come out.

The gotta catch 'em all was a joke about how I only bought a 3ds for pokemon. This 3d pokedex was what I wanted, I'm assuming thats just on whatever nintendo calls their store.

This one? It was for Pokedex 3D. As of now you can't get the original, and I think the Pro version already has the Unova guys in there already.

Serebii has image of the rest of the Pokedex, which you can scan in/use for shit.

Any other QR codes you may have seen are probably for Animal Crossing New Leaf, which has a QR Machine available after a certain point in the game which allows you to scan in designs for clothes or paths or whatever.
