Aurorus is leagues better looking that it's prevolution. I'm interested to see how attacks like Freeze Dry will work. It's ice type but SE against water? I wonder if other moves will do this too. I would prefer this method over dual typed moves any day.

Hopefully it will be a TM and have at least base 80 power. How much sense would it make giving an ice move that beats water to a Pokemon that is weak to water, is most likely slow, and benefits more from normal moves than ice ones? Then again, this is GameFreak, so everything is possible.

Yes they did. But it is fairly specific and never seen in pop culture, where the pterosaurs seen are mostly Pteranodon, Ramphorhynchus or a badly mangled mix of both.

For Freeze Dry to be dual typed (based on the most common theories about such moves), it would have to be either ice/electric or ice/grass.

NOP. Freezing is much more potent than burn.

Just make it 80/85bp (ice beam has 95), Acc 100 (like ice beam), 10% chance to freeze (like ice beam), PP 10-15 (ice beam has 10).

The addition of doing SE damage to water (a very relevant defensive type) with STAB is more than worth the loss of 10-15 bp.

Scald is BP 80, Acc 100, PP 15, 30% to burn, and unfreezes the pokemon.

Big thing is that freeze is too strong to have as a 30% chance.

If they did so, each of the elemental bites would have an effective BP of 90 for him, crunch has an effective BP of 96 for him. Problem with Iron fist (and probably this), is that a majority of the moves you're using it for have such low BP they don't get too much of a boost (like mach punch goes to BP of 48).

Probably, but I wouldn't be surprised if they introduced a decent special move for normal. But honestly, it's ability is useless on non-physical attackers, because core ice has great special moves already.

The best part about Freeze Dry is it being 4x SE against fucking Gyarados, Kingdra, Palkia, Swampert, Gastrodon and Ludicolo. I hate those fucking pieces of shit bulky water types that always ruin my fun.
