Once the games actually release, WFG (Wifi General) goes from page 3 or 4 to page 0 constantly. The hype doesn't disappear, but it kinda changes. Everyone wants to breed, abuse RNG, get shines, collect legendaries, battle, discuss teams and strategies, etc. I remember when Black 2 came out there were a lot of threads where people told stories about Black 2. I remember posting about pre-ordering it the day before it came out and staying up until it came out to play it. I ended up falling asleep and my DS died so I lost a few hours of progress. We discusses which 'mons were worth catching in early areas and what moves you should have on them. I think it ended up that a lot of people had 3 or 4 of the same Pokemon on their team, but it was a really cool experience. I got bored of Black 2 faster than any other Pokemon game, but I think I had an equivalent amount of fun in a shorter period of time. Post-release/middle of a gen /vp/ isn't for everyone, but if you actually get, and play the game, I think you'll enjoy it here even more than you are now while we hype the release.
