So I just caught my first shiny in years; a jolly Solosis, in White 2. Last one I'd found was a shiny butterfree in Heart gold about 2 years ago. Even though she's not perfect, the whole evo line is one of my favorites from Gen V, and I'm excited as fuck.

What was the last shiny you got through legit means? How long ago was the one before that?

Thanks! Mine's has Magic Guard, too, luckily enough. I don't play competitive seriously, but it should serve well as a mascot for my team when battling with friends.

The first Shiny I know I got was a Chikorita in HG when attempting to get a shiny Cyndaquil or Totodile. But I am convinced I had a shiny cyndaquil in Silver back in the day when I started my Gold game awhile back to find that the coloring of the Cyndaquil was different from what I remembered. However I have no way to confirm this due to my bro being lost to a dead battery.

It's strange I actually grew to really like the Chikorita line from that.

Last one was a black Trapinch, hatched. Most recent one before that was a white Eevee, hatched earlier in the same day. Shiny Charm been doing its work.

Apart from that, I saw a shiny Sableye way back earlier in the year in Emerald.

My last shiny hatched from the egg you get in Crystal.

Shiny Magby into Shiny Magmar with Dizzy Punch, Flamethrower, Thunder Punch, and something I don't remember, I think Faint Attack.

I like shinies in Crystal the best, don't have to worry about natures.

man, how i wish reuniclus actually had a purple shiny form. at least the blue is pretty and science-y. probably also a pun on "waterbear", the other name for tardigrades (which reuniclus might be based on).

Decided to explore the Lake of Rage after i caught the Red Gyarados in Soul Silver and proceeded to run into another one (opposite gendered so that was kinda cool).

Before that, the last shiny i found was in my copy of Leaf Green. I'll never forget the feel on accidentally critting that Rattata.
