i think its more appropriate to take the pokemons size in the anime as its canonical size, the in game sizes are just to stop pokemon being disproportionately large on the battlefield

Aurorus is 8'10" making it the tallest known fossil pokemon.
Coming in 2nd is Tyrantrum at 8'2".
Those sizes are nothing to sneeze at, considering they're bigger than about 90% of all pokemon, outsized only by a few giants, most of the legendaries, and Wailord.
An 8ft tall pokemon would have a hard time fitting in most houses.

Archeops is the closest you get to a raptor and it's 4'7", which is actually larger than your average velociraptor.

Just tell yourself that the height that appears on species pages is AVERAGE height. Meaning there could be much smaller and much larger individuals.
