Has it been confirmed whether or not there will be pre-evolutions or evolutions of already existing pokemon in Gen 6?

I find it weird there hasn't been any announced yet.

Given that prevos/evolutions of old Pokemon were hyped as shit and in the first groups Pokemon revealed in Gen 3 and 4, it's not likely we're going to be seeing any more. They'll get Mega Evolutions instead.

Why would they introduce Mega Evolutions to Pokemon that arent currently second stage evolutions if they intended to put in new evolutions? E.g Mega Mawile Mega Absol
Sylveon's the exception because they needed a way of integrating the Fairy type, and what better way then giving Eevee ANOTHER evolution?

There will be no new evolutions aside from Sylveon and the Mega Evolutions.

Mega Evolutions exist.
