Hey, /vp/. I used to be a pretty well-known RNG abuser in various communities. RNG'd around 300 different mons and they were all public on Pokécheck. ...Now I fear the worst. Do you think Pokémon Bank will ban cloned PIDs, meaning I won't be able to use my own stuff, just because I felt generous in the past? Then again, it's mathematically possible for a PID. Furthermore, RNG is a legit means of obtaining Pokémon (may or may not be cheating depending on your opinion, but it's objectively legal, as the game produces every bit of the Pokémon by itself without external soft/hardware, so it'd be stupid to ban RNGs). tl;dr.>be rnger >give away free shit >am i fucked? I really, really don't want to RNG everything all over again with brand new PIDs for fuck's sake. Pic related, it's me chanting my magic on a Terrakion.

RNGing is cheating. Cheaters ruin the game for the rest of us. I hope you're fucked.

Then again, oxygen doesn't exist in my opinion.

>>13930127 I could see them banning multiples of the same PID on a single account to prevent you from just cloning endless copies of something and transfer endless ones up. Or maybe just clones in general. But I don't see them banning a PID for everyone once it goes through the bank for one person. Only way I see RNG'd stuff being fucked by Bank is if they ban flawless IVs or some shit. And that would only be some getting fucked. As much as people argue about RNG abuse not being legit, it's not really something they could easily ban from Bank without messing with lots of legit mons.

>>13930283 True. Way before RNG abuse was discovered, I actually bothered to breed a 31/31/31/31/30/31 Adamant Gyarados in Pearl back in 2007. And I earnestly hope you're right. Admittedly, banning identical PIDs on different Pokémon could potentially screw over a few of my egg breeds.
>>13930241 It's your fault for not breeding enough eggs for good IVs and Hidden Power.

I think it'd be more likely for them to check for complete clones if they were to do anything of that sort, though. Even then, I think Bank will probably just have the kind of hack check they use for VGC with some tweaking. So it would only really catch the obviously edited/PokeGen'd mons. Those seem like the ones they are really trying to get rid of.

>>13930576 At least I don't have to cheat to get my shit. I can get stats close to if not exactly like that within 24 hours by breeding the way the developers intended.

Doesn't Pokecheck send Pokemon with stuff like Cherish Balls and ribbons to make sure they're easily identifiable as hacked? If it bans multiple of the same PID or something (unlikely), those people probably wouldn't be able to send their clones of your Pokemon up in the first place.
