Does anyone else think Mawile's going to be scary as heck this coming gen? Dat defensive typing, plus Huge Power, plus the bonus defenses in Mega form...

Mega Evolution has priority, so it'll get an attack off after it evolves. It can probably be used as a glass cannon because of Huge Power.

It can switch in to a "muh button" user and wall it on that turn. If the Dragon is holding a Choice Scarf it's even worse.

Draining Kiss for HP Returns after being hit. Sucker Punch for Cleanup utility.
Fire Punch or Iron Head for Coverage.

I want Mega Mawile to be a beast, I want her to run all over every other poke. But looking at megas and what we've seen so far... she's going to be a powerhouse, but one of MANY powerhouses and likely not the best of the megas.

I'm still honestly surprised Mawile didn't get an evo in Gen IV (aka Cross-Gen Evolutions: The Game).

Its stats certainly aren't good enough for it to be a stand-alone mon, and it definitely fit in with all the other "You'll have to wait until Gen IV to evolve these pokemon because we can't into deadlines" guys like Nosepass, Roselia, Dusclops, female Snorunt, and male Kirlia.

The problem with your post is that it implies people will still run choiced Outrage in Gen VI. Or, actually, Outrage at all before all the fairies on the opposing team have been dealt with -- remember that GameFreak introduced this amazing thing called team preview in Gen V, and it's highly likely that they won't get rid of it.

Also, you guys are forgetting that you still need to send normal Mawile in before Megavolving the cute little thing.
