So my 7 year old brother was just playing Pokemon Black, turns out he had just found a shiny Litwick.

And guess what? He didn't have any pokeballs..

Any of you had this happen to you?

One was a Shiny Beldum, but I wasn't too beat over that since I chained for it, but damn those things are hard to catch.
Other was a shiny Quagsire in gen 4's safari zone. Watching that run away broke my heart.

Yeah, was EV training a Krokorok in Relic Castle a pair of years ago when, as I was going out, a shiny Sandile popped out and I didn't have the means to catch it. Shit was awful.

It's okay, I could already do that for him myself, he doesn't seem really bothered by it.

Guess I could RNG him one as well if he really wanted it.

I've only come across 4 shinnies in game without RNG or hacking one.

Do it man. If he doesn't grow out of pokemon, one of these days in the future he's going to look back and have this sinking feeling when he realizes and understands how rare they are.

I mean even if you just catch one on his game, trade it to you, make it shiny and fix the secret ID and trade it back, go back to where he was and save?

C'mon. The look on his face would be priceless and any kid would probably be happy with that.

Then when she tried to save the game it wouldn't let her since she didn't manually delete the old save

I don't even know why I worry. I've only caught one shiny in all my years of playing and it was a Patrat.
