I would instead imagine since Ash seems to have grown up he goes through that awkward "girls are kinda hot" stage preteen boys go through.

I don't expect them to go any deeper with it other than cute little moments where they sideglance and blush at each other though.

Actually curious to see how that show ends up. Will probably follow the first 4-5 episodes at least. Sadly I expect the same treatment as Unova, and the loss of the French vibe as soon as Ash leaves Lumiose.

Just because it is the most visited country in the world doesn't mean its economy is not diversified. Tourism stands at just around ~5% of the country's income, with shit like chemicals and machinery making the bulk of it.
