The name is derived from the elite four member Karen in gen II, who states good trainers should use what they like.

I am a filthy Pokephile, but I don't like associating with them. I don't choose which Pokemon I use based on whether I'd fuck them or not either, I just use what I like design wise period, though I do have limits to how shit they can be before I refuse to use them. Like fucking Delcatty.

All of the above, kinda. My favorite pokemon is Feraligatr and i like to make competitive teams revolving around using him.
A Baton pass rain team with him as the sweeper is pretty great, though often it's Toxicroak receiver who does the work.

I like to occasionally hunt for shinies, and am watching the anime/mangas all over while i wait for x/y.

As for pokephilia... I like some fucked up shit and tried getting into it with Gardevoir after I started using a cute Gardevoir/Gallade combo for my legendary catching strategy (and an army for baby ralts with synchronize for nature catching) but really i just wanna hug and/or hang out with my pokemon.

I don't find pokemonattractive, even the fucked up super-sexualized fanart. With how some people act here i thought i might like it, but you guys are just degenerate as fuck.

That said, I love my Gardevoir nicknamed Carin and my Gallade named Catchin :3

I am also categorized as "weird" by other pokemon players, because my goal is just finish the gyms and the elite, if I can get something extra it's ok, if not it's ok too. I don't care about actually finishing my pokedex or looking for the special events but I can spend a lot of time reading about stats, pokegenetics, breeding, strategies (all of these while NOT actually playing competitive), reading poketrivia, listening to the games music, looking for fanart, stuff like that

Casual competitive, I guess. I know how things work and I enjoy watching/reading people play, but I have no patience to make my teams or play myself and I haven't played online in a long time.

In the games, I try to mix using my favorites with using new things, making everything as useful as possible and even EV training if I get a lucky Pokerus from the GTS. Not that it helps, but it feels so good seeing your Conkeldurr with a gorillion attack points.

Only played 3rd & 4th gens single player on emulator. Skipped 5th gen, thinking about buying a 2DS/3DS so I can actually play 6th gen on a handheld this time. Hype too strong.

I want to say I'm a Karenfag, but to be perfectly honest ever since I found out about IVs I've been completely OCD over it even though it's wasted effort in single player. I still only use my favorites, but again doesn't matter since I don't do competitive.
