My friends and I had a total love/hate relationship with the Clefairy minigame. The damn song would get stuck in our heads all the time, and sometimes we'd frantically try to write the pattern down while playing... but would still screw it up anyway.

The battle system was a lot of fun too (the graphics seemed fucking amazing then), but somehow the minigames are the most memorable/nostalgic part for me.

I've been playing this recently. I'm going to use rentals for round 1 and an actual, home-made team for round 2. I've taken a ragebreak for now because of the bullshit luck that just fucked me over.

Me and my dad pick a day during the month and we meet up and battle one another. We've done this kinda thing since I was 8 or so.
My dad doesn't care much for video games, but for some reason he loves Stadium. All we do is pick rental pokemon and battle. Best 3 outta 5 wins.
We've actually settled arguments with Stadium. Back when I was little he'd always make me do chores this way. He'd sweep my team with his favorite poke, Gengar, and be like: "ait, go clean up your room".
Can't wait to see who wins this month, we got a chalk board by the N64 with all out tallied wins. We're currently tied.

Both have their pros

Stadium had better Stadium cups, a better gym leader castle and better rental pokemon (due to the fact that the Poke cup rental pokemon and the Prime cup rental pokemon had different moves) while Stadium 2 had the Mini-Game Champion, The Quiz, Challenge Cup and the Academy
