Well, that's good to know. Makes it feel more special to find out what your opponent's choice of mega is, instead of getting bored sitting through the animation for all of them.

Also sort of makes megas feel more special than legendaries. You can have a team full of legendaries.

Well yeah, if one can get past the E4, then Cynthia can be beat.
My point is that she doesn't really have any type she focus on along with some good coverage and great Pokemon.
IMO, she's the best champion with the best team.

Yes. The *entire* reason HGSS were made was to retcon Cynthia in. It's not like they were remade and then parts were retconned to fit with the poke-world as it is now. Also, what about Steven Stone, who also makes an appearance and works with the legendaries of his game? Also also, the unknown were important in both HGSS and DPPt

Because it doesn't. Part of her character and backstory was that her grandparents taught her about the Creation Trio and she became an archaeologist to study them. That's her character. Jumping in the Distortion World with the Main Character is completely in character for her. She's just knowledgeable about her region's legends. Not hard to grasp.

Cept, it is. If you know what I mean by 1.5. Gen 2 forced you to use mostly Kanto Pokemon. You didn't have much of a choice. You couldn't get most Jotoh Pokemon until very late. No other region has the same closeness as Kanto and Jotoh.

No, you don't. She's literally in her house for only half of the year. Go to her house in Autumn or Winter and she won't be there.

That's a problem with Alder's team going down 15 levels. In BW1, she was equal to him. In BW2 she's equal to Iris. Deal with it. You still also haven't addressed Benga, some child prodigy who showed up out of nowhere and wasn't even mentioned in BW1.

This seems to be one of the main problems. Just because a game came out later than the others doesn't mean there's a power/level curve. Technically, all these regions are already discovered and shit's already happening in them. The poke-world doesn't just discover an entire new goddamn region full of people every few years.

She's in some tiny DLC sidequest that was connected to Sinnoh in HG/SS, stays in her house in post-game BW1, and again mainly chills in her house for BW2's post-game. For me, I believe the various mega stones are to make certain mega evo's more inaccessible than others, in the same way that some pokemon are more difficult to obtain than others.

I don't see any reason why you wouldn't be able to have multiple mega stones in your party, but only have one active during battle. It's not very practical because then one of you pokemon are lacking a hold item, but otherwise, it's okay.
