I was too busy trying to work out why I (Being an 8 year old child at the time) knew that Pikachu couldn't possibly beat Golem in that scene but somehow one shot it with Thunder. And yet the people who got paid to make this film didn't know. It almost feels like they did it just to annoy me.

Kinda off topic but, has there been any other game/show that has had this much impact on children since Pokemon? I know there are many good and popular shows right now, and seems like Ben 10 is the most popular amongst the youth, but I don't remember anything after pokemon that actually gets the kids piss and shit themselves with excitement.

Though it would be cool if there was a charge type attack pikachus could learn to hurt rock types, and since ash never put pikachu back in the pokeball, that's why it could hurt ground types

Ekans and Koffing were awesome in that episode. Away from Jessie and James they were chill as fuck, You also saw interesting things, like Charmander and Bulbasaur worrying if they'd been abandoned, and Squirtle (who was abandoned) and Pikachu insisting that wasn't the case.

And yeah, 'Go West, Young Meowth'. Really felt for the scratch cat, after all the effort he went to.

Makes you wonder, if Meowth went straight how much money he could earn by translating for humans and Pokemon.

I've been thinkin that a lot, and i think the writers know it too. In that episode with the guy who could "talk" to pokemon, he was talking about doing it for a living and how pikachu was sick and meowth overheard and went:

"You hear that? PIKACHU'S SICK"
Like holy shit meowth you just had a ridiculous legit moneymaking scheme explained to you and all you give a shit about is pikachu?

I was curious do all his Pokemon from all regions go to Oak? Also does the anime even mention Oak anymore. I'm on season 7 and he hasn't really said shit to professor Oak did they just forget about it like the GS ball?

I remember I would beg my dad to take me to all the Pokemon movies and he always did it with a smile on his face. He also got me sticker albums and on weekends we would go out and get a few packs and fill out the album together.

He was always very thoughtful about my hobbies and would get me games for my birthday even in my teens. It's been a year now since he passed away and I still miss him so much but I'm glad we had so many moments.
