How the fuck does this idiotically designed thing get around? It just floats at high speed towards things because Japan logic?

I mean, Koffing, fine, it's filled with gas.

As much as I like Escavalier, I have to concede that its design makes no sense.
Hell, it makes negative sense.

It doesn't have legs, and it doesn't have any obvious method of locomotion. The Pokedex says it just flies around at mach-speed, yet it has one of the lowest base Speeds in the game at just 20 points.

Hell, the anime shows it just zooming through the air, but I don't understand how it does that. I'd probably have a better time believing it if it had wings or something.

Escavalier is just weird.

I agree that some pokemon fly for no apparent reason like Glalie but this is by far the worst offender.

I mean, I don't even use water pokemon without legs because it makes no sense that they can battle out of water. So this just makes me mad.

This bothered me as well. When they first revealed it I thought it was going to be a jouster and riding on a pokemon.
Then I saw Bug Stallion and thought maybe they were intended to do a tag team so one can be the horse and one can be the rider. It didnt make sense to me, but it made more sense than IT JUST FLOATS AND HAS POINTY SHIT FOR A FOREARM

the gravity value on planet pokemon is far less than earth. Weight is unit that measures force of gravity, not mass, so things like onix are exceedingly light, but in reality have a believable mass. However lower gravity does not mean food contains less energy so the enery required to have some sort of biological floating mechanic is certainly more plausible.

Basically all floating pokemon have some sort of turbo fan organs like harrier jet or F35
