Seriously this thing has Magic Guard, Stored Power, Cosmic Power and Softboiled. Making it a Fairy type would be so goddamned OP.

Counter Gengar set doesn't have room for anything other than one offensive move.

Counter, Hypnosis, Shadow Ball, Destiny Bond + sash. You could take off the Hypnosis but....what will Gengar do when shit walls him? Hypnosis can at least set up safe switches.

Have you ever tried using it? I guess you must be a smogonfag. I've wrecked plenty of OU teams using it, all it takes is one or two cosmic powers.

It's stats are pretty balanced and with a combo like Cosmic Power and Stored Power whats not to like?

The difference is 90 vs 120. That also means that the second Superpower is already just as strong as a bullet punch. That also means Bullet Punch gets 3HKOs that Superpower doesn't. So yeah, it is harder to wall Bullet Punches than Superpower.

It can wall anything. I've used it a lot, it's fun. The only problem is that it needs too many turns and it always get killed by a Crit. If only it weren't for Crits, Clefable would be invincible after 3 Cosmic Powers.

All the info you need.

Clefairy has the traditional 4-moveslot-syndrome tbh. It would be a great, situational allrounder with 8+ moves. But this way, it's always gonna be outclassed by something. You just get noobs who are surprised to see a Clefairy and react stupidly.

If you can set it up it can wall anything, even close combats. All it takes its a little bit of predicting and that the opponent doesn't have a contingency against it, i.e. roar.

And no it does not you're very wrong, if you want to go for a specific weakness then sure, teach it thunderbolt, flamrethrower, or ice beam. If you want to be able to hit mostly everything though, you can just use Seismic Toss.

Are you like factoring in even the hold item or a stat boost there m8?

Technician does not boost it that much. Second, if it can wall Close Combat with a setup, it can wall Bullet Punch.

I don't think you even got what I said. What are you going to run Seismic Toss with? There are always too many mons you just cannot do anything against. That's the point. Whichever set you choose, you're outclassed.

But it cannot wall Close Combats... Mixed LO Infernape OHKO's 252/252 Def Clefable straight away. You need 3 CPs to be able to softboil the damage, and even then you're not setting up any further or doing any damage.

I'm assuming you mean a current gen close combat, seeing as next gen close combat would be WEAKER than bullet punch from everything due to Fairy resisting fighting.

252 Atk Life Orb Lucario Close Combat vs 252 HP/252 +1 Def Clefable (+Def) : 67.26% - 79.95%

I chose a very, very average Close Combat. There are stronger ones like Band Terrakion. This is maximum investment after 1 cosmic power.

For some extra:

252 Atk Choice Band Technician Scizor (+Atk) Bullet Punch vs 252 HP/252 +1 Def Clefable (+Def) : 47.72% - 56.85%

Clefable still doesn't take the hit too well. It's enough to OHKO back with Flamethrower, but for non-cosmic power clefable Bullet Punch is OHKOing a lot of spreads.

Should Eviolite return this gen, chansey by FAR. That boost is just too good to pass up.

It can take physical hits better than blissey could ever dream, even as far as surviving some head on STAB fighting moves.
