So I just drew this up about 20 minutes ago.

I'm pretty solid on the top half but I can't decide what to do about the bottom.

Any suggestions, /vp/? Also general starter speculation/evo thread.

Don't really like these. Fennekin has gone back to being quadrupedal, Froakie got fat despite Frogadier hinting a slim, streamlined design, and Chespin strayed too far from the original design (it looks like it's gone from chestnut to turtle).

Perhaps make the pelvis area a bit wider? Like how Chespin's body looks, going from a slim neck down into a wider lower body where the feet are. Like a pear-shape, without being fat.

Nah, looks fine. Maybe add a chestnut to the tail, like >>13963157 suggested and widen the pelvic region, but otherwise it looks good as is. Can't wait to see the final product.

its getting closer. in order to make a solid character you need to know how the torso and pelvis comes thogether.
the green line is the line of action, i use it to place te column
the black line is the balance
and the rest is just lines to know where the body is pointing at.

I like the overall design, though I think his head (and tail) would have more spikes. Maybe try dark brown for the pants with green accents? I'd make its "horns" like Quilladin's too, though that could just be me.
