3DS XL worth the upgrade?

I have a launch 3ds that I still use alot but was thinking about buying the xl only if I can get a limited edition one. The blue pokemon x/y XL for example.
Some people love their XL some people don't.
Whats your opinion on which one? Or do you own both ? If you do which one do you play the most?
