As much as people love X/Y now, when the game was 1st announced the 1st 3 months of reveals were pretty negative. No one was hugely into the starters back then, everyone hated Newtwo and people were busy fighting over what Sylveon, Xerneas and Yveltal's types were going to be for months. April was the worst because literally nothing was going on. Thank fuck for the may reveals and most people love Fletchling, Pancham and Gogoat.
Hell after E3 and Fairy type was revealed things were pretty good. Most people loved Vivillon, Noivern, Clauncher, Skrelp, and the July reveals werent bad (Although Honedge's reveal did cause a few days worth of shitposting about how inanimate objects cant be Pokemon). And of course Swirlix got some hate but that went by fast
But man oh man when the Megas were revealed it was bad.
