Hey /vp/, what're the odds Gen VI gives us a Pokémon with a Trick Room-activating ability? Would it be too overpowered if it gave permanent Trick Room?

For normal trick room activation, that is. Permanent trick room would turn the meta on its head and get banned quick.

Odds: low.
Would it be too overpowered: absolutely. Permanent weather is almost OP, Trick Room is bad enough at 5 turns.

An ability that automatically uses trick room when the mon switches in, like how Imposter automatically uses transform might be alright. Something like,

You make it work by making the trick room permanent as long as the pokemon with that ability stays on the field, when it leaves, the standard trick room duration applies.

(This is also my idea for balancing drizzle and drought as well)
