That sounds like a blanket term for pokemon as a whole and what happens underneath the blanket when I visit your mother and I'll explain why:

a) a horn protruding from its face that wasn't present before
b) black dots around it's body that, again, were not present before
c) eyes that are different

I feel the same way. It looks very convincing and sugimori-esque. There are alot of fakemon that copy the sugi art style but don't have the same feel, if that makes sense. I don't get that at all from this. seems legit.

The only things that slightly makes me suspicious is the hands changing almost completely from flipper like in frogadier to claws with this one.

The Unova Starters were cam shots (as most leaks tend to be) and leaked to a VIP board on 2ch, from what I recall.

This and the Braixen evolution appears to be not a photo shot or the art, but straight up someone uploading the promotional images to the net and appeared from nowhere.

That's why I'm suspicious. All the authentic picture leaks in Gen V were cam shots of the game and art, never the actual artwork.

Yes, but they also weren't as viral with the advertising in 5th gen. The 6th gen site is a lot more relevant, and there's Nintendo Directs, and a load of other sites pumping the same info at the same time of release.

Just look at what happened with IGN. They had official images that they accidentally leaked early.
