It's not about the material things they were. It was about the wonder and childhood sense of adventure. These things invigorated and fueled a wonderful sense of imagination. That hope that once you turn 10, you too will embark on a pokemon journey. That hope that while on a camping trip, you too will discover hidden pokemon. These things enveloped us in a world that wasn't about bills, money or worries. They enveloped us in a world of carefree bliss. Something we might all take for granted one day.
When you're older and have a family, why not give your child that same sense of blissful excitement. It might re spark your own.
