I really like the Hoenn Gym Leader (despite the glaring lack of glorious trumpets) and pic related's, because I always thought Cynthia's was great

Probably the hoenn gym leader too.

While the arrangement of Cynthia's was pretty cool, the guitars sounded like filler and the dynamics were terrible (0:37 sounded really harsh and screechy in particular).

My personal fav is the champion Blue remix.

They're all fantastic though. Very "in your face" unlike music from gen 4.

However Lance/Red's theme in HGSS is better than the remix in PWT.

Here's to hoping it returns in XY
