What makes you guys think that Froakie will be fighting?

I think it could be Dark, seeing it's supposed to be a thief and all.

And if Chespin is the knight, it would make sense for it to be steel or fighting.

It's going to be:
Grass/Steel (or possibly Poison come to think of it)
Fire/Fairy (100% sure)
Water/Dragon
This is all based on the assumption that Fennekin becomes Fire/Fairy which looks very likely, so there is still a reverse weakness triangle

Excluding Hidden Power
All Fire starters learn a electric and/or grass move.
All Grass starters learn a groun and/or rock move.
All Water starters learn ice moves.
Besides D/P/F isn't a triangle anyway.

Really, the Dark/Fighting/Psychic triangle isn't as "genuine" as the Grass/Fire/Water one, since Dark is immune to Psychic. Rock/Fighting/Flying would be a more interesting triangle to use for secondary types, in my opinion, but that's not happening this gen.
