It might've been debatable, but there were a lot of instances where it counted itself as one of the guys. As far as I know, it never did things that were exclusively for females. (it disguised itself as a female for one thing, but this was AFTER there was no shadow of a doubt it was male) Also, the only people who did think this were all shippers who also only could only accept straight shipping, so they forcibly made Pika female to justify it.
