And that's even entirely ignoring the fact that the first form's whole shtick is that it isn't actually ice cream, it's an icicle thing and frosts itself to look like ice cream. Once it melts that off, it's like a ball.
It could've played off that and gone to grow the ice part where it doesn't need to disguise itself or something. Hell, it could've just played with the ice cream more instead of just making it from one scoop of ice cream to two scoops and one of them being mentally retarded.
It could've gone to ice cream soda or banana split or something. It could've even gone the Snorunt Glalie/Frosslass route with all the mirror stuff it has to rely on.
