Its ability will most likely be wasted, though, unless they give it moves that can take advantage of it, and in the meantime, mean that fire blasts and such are guaranteed to hit.

I second this. Honedge has been one of my favorite Pokemon revealed thus far, and Doublade looks to just take it further. I honestly don't see what's so bad about two possessed swords, and I'm sure Doublade will make my team now.

I'm in as well. I'm glad they announced Doublade (shitty name though) since I was fearing Honedge was a single stage pokèmon and I don't like using them in-game.

Too bad they almost shattered my hopes for a possessed armor but maybe there's a 3rd evo and the ghost becomes somehow visible and actually wields the swords

I love it, for some odd reason. I know it's a pretty minimal design change, but I like the coat of arms thing and I really like the idea of the two of them wielding one another in battle

Plus, the Magnemite family is my favorite Pokemon set, I love Steel-types and have been wanting a Steel/Ghost since gen 4. So, overall, I'm pleased.

I never entertained this idea before, but now it seems somewhat believable.

Or if it really is two Honedges melded together, I'm wondering if there's a process by which they choose/find their significant other. With the Gears, it was kinda boring considering they only paired up so that they could not die.

Steel, Ghost and Bug are my favorite types. I'm happy as hell for finally getting a Ghost/Steel Pokemon.

Doublade doesn't really change my opinion at all. It's an interesting concept, but it doesn't do anything for me. I like that it can use its telepathy to control both swords at once, though, and hope it has a third evolution with more swords.

Besides, it was already speculated a while back that based upon Honedge's names involving 'one' in them, it would evolve into more blades. It's not a surprise.

Sadly all common Ghost Type moves have perfect accuracy, or is Will-o-wisp.
The Steel moves on the other hand that can abuse it are Iron Tail, Steel Wing, Meteor Mash, Metal Sound, Metal Claw, and Gear Grind. Of course there are probably new moves, but so far, there's nothing good the line has so far.
