Meh, not too fancy about it to be honest, just gotta live with it. I honestly like to think of it more as a invisible spirit/force controlling the sword and if they were ever to reveal another evolution, it would be interesting actually seeing the spirit controlling them with a knight-like appearance and a design similar to the sheaths.
