that doesnt make pikachu able to get those moves

also a pikachu with fly = a future raichu with fly

Who ever said that? According to GF Megas are given out via 3 bullet points ... none of with pointed out that a Pokemon had to be "fully evolved".

Plus Pikachu evolves with a stone already so the use of another type of stone (MegaPikaknite or w/e) is WELL within the GF lines of "Fuck that rat, power up the Pika!"

I dont think raichu is that forgotten

also even on b/W where he doesnt appear, ash mentions it when catching a thunderstone before pikachu gets it

not to mention raichu appeared on one of the XY anime trailers(just a bit of the head)

So no, I dont think gamefreak forgot about raichu

I think I realized the reason why we'll never see Pikachu evolve into Raichu in the anime, not factoring in the "cute little animal mascot = printing money" thing:

Think about how overpowered and such the little rat is just as a Pikachu. Imagine how powerful Ash's Pikachu would become if it became a Raichu, or perhaps went so far as to mega evolve then into a Mega Raichu.

That's likely why we'll never see Ash's Pikachu evolve: 2powerful4everyone.
