he made first gen fun, figuring out how to beat brock was a good challenge.

sad about stealth rocks, but he can be fun as a berserker sweeper.
belly drum, salac berry, blaze activates, should OHKO everything and beat most other pokemon in speed excluding priority attacks. It fails more often than not but it's fun.

I've pretty much never liked him, not even as a child. He's too fat.

To be honest, don't like most starter final evos. Starters are usually at their best in the second evo, and just go to shit by the end.

I never stopped liking him but unfortunately he's been poor in terms of competitive battling for...ever.

Still, he looks cool and is as recognizable as Pikachu. I'm glad he's back for X and Y. I feel like I've grown out of Charizard but given the chance, I'll use him again every day.

My eternal first/favorite pokébro. I'm personally not a fan of his Mega Evolution, nor do I put him on my team anymore because there are better tactical choices to include in his stead. With that said, there is no other pokémon I cherish in my heart more than him.

I find Charizard to be okay. Pretty good in-game, not really competitively, but I don't really mind that at all. Overall pretty good, but not one of my favorites, the phrase "good, but not amazing" comes to mind.

It's weird, because he was my bro when I played the games, I've always picked the fire starters, actually, and Charizard is the most awesome.

But for personal reasons Squirtle is my favorite pokemon (not even like Blastoise that much, just Squirtle).

I find it boring, mostly. It being so ineffectual in combat doesn't help things. I just prefer actual dragons, other fire types, and other pseudo-dragon types like Sceptile and Gyarados.

I think that it's a pretty good starter, but then, all three Gen I starters are pretty great. It's got the movepool to be very useful, especially in-game, what most starters are best at anyway. It also has pretty damn badass design. I also think that, in comparison to other, later Fire Pokemon such aROCKS'S GREATEST HITS SNEAKY PEBBLES SMOGON STONES GENWUNNER
