Can we all agree that Dugtrio is the laziest design out of all of the Pokemon?

I'm not saying it's the worst.
I'm definitely not saying it's the best.
I'm not even saying that it's bad.
I'm saying that it's just the laziest.

Diglett was pretty lazy to start out with, but it was cute. Simple, round mole with a big ol' simple, but cute nose. Dugtrio is just three Digletts, and sometimes it's drawn with angry eyebrows.

Why is it lazier than other "add more Pokemon for an evolution" Pokemon? Well, most of the other ones seem to make some sort of sense.

>Magnemite attracts and connects to other Magnemite via magnetism
>Vanillish becomes Vanilluxe because double-scoop ice creams
>Klink line at least progresses a bit by adding more/different types of gears
>Koffing doesn't really have too much of a justification, but at least the design is somewhat interesting

I guess you could go with the whole "Dugtrio is a nod to whack-a-mole" thing, but I feel like that's sort of a longshot, and I also feel like Diglett alone could have filled that role.
