Enjoy training a Pokémon to lvl 40 only to have it evolve into absolute shit, whilst not being able to find the good items and TMs or Pokémon you would like to use because you don't know the encounter rates.

All tentative, but these are just the ones I want to try out.
No idea what I'll actually end up using, but these are definitely getting tested.

I probably won't be using many new pokes because most of them look like shit to me, except the blue lobster but even that's judt a rehash of Crawdaunt. I'm gonna have Torchic, one new starter, one Kanto starter, or possibly an Octillery instead of a new starter, I've always wanted to use an Octillery...

Froakie - haven't picked a Water starter in a while, and Bulbasaur is always my Kanto starter (although not on main team)

Talonflame - nice coverage and an early game lead, also really like the design

Gogoat - because I want to ride that thing all day, and I like Grass types

Tyrantrum - great design, type coverage and I like Dragon types (sorry Noivern, next time)

Malamar - good coverage and Topsy-Turvy is too useful to pass up

Sylveon - actually just a placeholder for a Fairy type of my choice
