>For some reason, a Pokemon anime special named Pokemon Origins is announced
>Game Freak have started to big up Gen I, allowing players to choose from either Bulbasaur, Charmander and Squirtle right at the beginning of X and Y
>Ash's flashbacks and Charizard returning in the anime
>The idea of all this is to grab the attention of those who used to be fans of Pokemon in the 90s/early 2000s, and to induce nostalgia
>yfw you realise all of this is building up to a second set of RGBY remakes
>yfw Hoenn will (sadly) never be remade
I prefer Gen I to Gen III, but I think Gen III is extremely underrated and deserves some recognition. On the other hand, I'd be very happy with Gen I remakes again and would probably be hyped more for them. Kanto in 3D sounds like it could be a lot of fun.
Bearing in mind that if Kanto were remade again, it would be nothing like in Gen I and Gen III and would be vastly improved with a tonne of new gameplay elements.
