This is what it should have happened.
>Ash returns to Kanto from Unova
>He goes to Oak's lab to see how his pokemon are doing
>He sees something out from the distance
>"What is that?"
>As it gets closer, Ash recognizes that it is Primeape
>Primeape jumps into the air and lands on Ash
>Primeape dances on him in victory
>"Wow Primeape, I can see that you trained really hard."
>Primeape smiles while showing off his champion belt and his new moves
>Scraggy walks by minding his own business and sees Ash playing with Primeape
>Scraggy charges at Primeape with a headbutt
>It is a direct hit, but it only causes Scraggy to bounce back because Primeape is built motherfucker
>Primeape turns to Scraggy and gestures him to do it again
>As Primeape deflects all of Scraggy's headbutts, he calls out to Scraggy, "Scraggy, sto-"
>Ash gets stopped by Oak and Oak says, "It's ok, Ash. Primeape is only training Scraggy, not fighting him."
>Ash turns back to Scraggy and Primeape with a smile.
>Ash returns after the Kalos league. He finds that Scraggy is now a built up Scrafty with sun glasses that he stole from Krookodile
