>>14028944I really enjoyed that her music was happy and energetic while maintaining all the intensity of champ battle music. After five games of the same "I'm so super serious check out my epic hardcore battle music" I found it really refreshing to have a Champion who instead represented exactly what Pokemon battles are about at their core, enjoyable friendly fun. Plus the rainbow road style battle stage was really cool and having the lights rush towards you makes it feel like an uphill battle with all of this pressure coming from Iris.
I really like the other Champs and I think the super serious epic music worked well for them. But it we were overdue a new kind of Champ and Iris's energetic fun kind of intensity was a great way to shake things up. All of the other Champion battles just feel like they were chasing the Blue fight while never quite living up to it while Iris managed to be as good as Blue's battle by not chasing it and doing something new for me.
Cynthia has the best team, but Blue and Iris are definitely the most memorable champion battles for me.
