Some of them. Embargoes like this get pretty complex. I imagine they've got document saying "You can't reveal any Pokemon with a Dex Number higher than 50" and "You can't discuss any details of the story past the fourth gym" and all that sort of thing. Standard practice. They'll be able to discuss the full extent of the mechanics and their experience with the game but many details of moves, characters and pokemon will be embargoed at a certain point

Yeah, but most of the gaming press use embargo to refer to that agreement anyway. "This part of the game is embargoed" and that sort of thing. I know it's wrong but I've just picked it up.

Friend of mine got a review copy, he told me that they basically said you can't say shit about anything they haven't already unveiled aside from a few very specific things.

So he's going to be writing two reviews, one 'preliminary review' then he'll update it to the full review on launch day.
