I think having a lot of gyms doesn't mean that incentives are needed for more badges. Leaders won't be available 24/7 so getting a match with 8 different people is a feat in itself.

Depending on how many people you have involved (and thus, how many tournament rounds you have), maybe having more badges could allow for first/second-round byes? Like, if you have 12-16 badges you can sit the first round, and if you have all 17, you sit the first two?

Its unlikely that you will ever be able to battle all 17, so getting half of that is already a feat. Extra badges could mean a higher starting point each month in victory road. I was considering rather than going from zero, starting at like 20 for points, because having negative points would really feel shitty.

For some reason, I assumed that gym leaders wouldn't be tourney-eligible? Or at least that they WOULDN'T tourney, regardless of eligibility?

What about interest? that is still a huge issue, if this gets organized and manages to get Gym Leaders. who's to say 16 people will even participate?

That is the biggest issue. I feel once theres more organization, we should be able to have a thread up at all times, which should slowly drive more interest, especially as XY start coming in.

Then as long as we have our basic format down, we can slowly build a group that does something, so we can select our leaders.

We also need a webpage or something, So we can have info on the Gym Leaders.

Type/Theme
Possible Teams.

The Gym Leaders should have multiple Monotype Teams or Teams that fit their Theme. Not Immidiately But eventually.

Then when people want to participate they can find the leader they'd like to challenge and let them know in the thread.

The thread wouldn't be entirely the league, some kind of interactions needs to happen here, more like a group or community.

Now for the Victory Road. I like this idea, but It could be a bit complicated. We don't know when Pokecheck will have services available for X and Y, so we don't know if we can watch battle videos.

The Victory Road is a good idea, I think the same thing needs to happen before Gym Leaders too, no points or anything, but allowing participants to get advice, or battle each other before challenging a Gym Leader.

Even though I say this I know the Gym Leaders may not be a huge challenge , but having more sociability around the thread will make it more populous

I want to keep helping, but I'm a mite busy, I might not respond to things as fast. But I'm hoping the thread picks up.

I do not think we should let people carry over points to the next month, in game you have a fresh start each region and that would give too many people an advantage.
