Well they are not based on balance are they? The single most powerful non-legendary pokemon ever (Blaziken) got one ffs.

They are entirely an effort at pandering to the community. Too bad for people like me, most of the community are furfag niggers with 16.7 megatons of autism up their ass.

So now i get to enjoy the worst and most edgy shit designs such as Lucario and Garchomp faggoting around all over and might get fewer new pokémon this gen.

Higher attack, but less speed. Garchomp was great because of its speed. if you decide to use Megachomp you can't hold lifeorb or scarf Megachomp will be more of a slow deathcanon than a speedy glasscanon like RegChomp

And lately in pokemon speed has been a huge thing. I think after a few weeks of Competitive X and Y after the dragonfags have used and jizzed all over Megachomp, it will quickly find little to no use over other Megas and Regular Chomp

Garchomp is good because of its trolly speed, and was only ever banned due to Sand Veil being its only ability in Gen 4/Early Gen 5.
Megachomp is slower and lacks Veil. He can be easily outsped and OHKO'd if his Attack and SpAttack are the only stats that raise significantly, like the site says.
