So I went to Gamestop and asked if they were doing a midnight release. The guy there who also happened to be the manager said they weren't because X&Y isn't getting as much hype and pre-orders as Black and White did. So even though they did a midnight release for Black and White, they won't be doing one for X and Y, also corporate hasn't sent them any emails or events regarding one.

Has anyone else asked their GameStop about a midnight release?
