So far people choose X aesthetically because he's closer to Mewtwo, but most agree that he's an overdesigned piece of shit compared to Mewtwo.

Y is arguably worse and even creepy but in its defense, you can say that it's a step closer to being Mew and so the design fulfills something unique compared to the original.

Objectively, the Y mode is better in battle unless X has a physical equivalent of Psystrike (does it? Otherwise it'd be a no-brainer to pick Y outside of looks).

It looks like I'll have to keep posting this until everyone knows it. It helped me out with accepting the designs A LOT once I knew what they were based on.

I'd have to say Y is better, Mewtwo has a better special move pool to draw from and Psystrike allows it to hit both defences. I don't believe there is currently a physical move that allows it to hit on the special side and from memory Mewtwo's best Physical Fighting attack is Drain Punch.

We already know that Mega Garchomp is going to be shit compared to normal Garchomp, because it'll have lower speed.

What I liked about original Mewtwo was that they designed him to look good biologically. Its body made sense. Y's Mewtwo looks like a toy.
