But I also understand just how massive the backlash from deleting this board could be. Not a cool idea. Some "containment" boards are a neccessity of life.
Look at /wsg/. There's a thread there that's been alive since APRIL. But. Before the /gif/ - /wsg/ split, you would not be capable of finding even ONE /wsg/ type thread on /gif/, period. It's a neccessary board, even if it's fairly inactive.
During "downtime", /vp/ is the same. It isn't a thriving megaboard but it is a neccessity to avoid the other boards from being polluted, or from it's own content from being drowned out. Both sides can push and pull but in reality each should just have their own home.
