Yep, on its own if I saw this I'd definitely think fake, but when it pops up alongside really good looking overworld and battle shots, it takes on a new light...

Now its "why would someone be that skilled at making an overworld then make something this ugly?" if they wanted to be taken seriously.

It's so dumb looking that it's something I can see Gamefreak doing, I guess you could say. I know that's sort of a circular argument, but there it is.

I really shouldn't have to explain it, but since no one has a brain here, I'll try my best to put it simply. No MODEL looks like this. This is a DRAWING, the only shading is on the bottom. Not even cell shading would do that. All the pokes are MODELS. There is no way this atrocity is real.

Faking pokemon is harder. With enough skill, it's doable. Nobody can still be 100% certain the recently leaked pokemon are real, but people who think they are real base their logic on the following. (a) The images LOOK legit, (b) we are nearing release, (c) reviewer copies are circulating. Time will tell, though. I'm on team It'sReal.

I don't care if a pokemon is childish or is based on something inanimate as long as it has a decent design, and to me, ice creams with a goofy face are not a good example of it. Why should the fact that it made top 30 in a poll even interest me at all? I accept it exists and it's meant for a target audience that doesn't include me, I just don't like it despite all of that.

Fair enough, but I meant as in why would it make me accept it, since no personal opinion should change no matter how many people disagree with you. And I stand by what I said, despite all you pointed out, I still don't like it and never will, just like a shitload of other fans who are far more vocal than me about this.

And top 30 in gen 5 isn't really a feat to brag about or that big of a success, but good for them I suppose. I don't exactly hate them nor will I pass the game over this, but I know which mon designs I don't like and why, and it always annoys me to see them repeated.

They should hire James Turner again because he is the only Gamefreak employee that knows anything about 3d. All the cgi and camera effects in Black/White are thanks to his professional guidance as graphic designer. I am pretty sure that he was quite busy with their 3DS game too since now all pokemons are CGI.

Don't knock on a man's work just because you're mad that you didn't like a pokemon he drew.
