To digital or not to digital?

Hey guys, Im still having a hard time as to whether to go digital or not. Im thinking of getting X digitally (so I can always have it on hand) and Y physically (as its not my preferred version.
What should I do? Pros and cons?

I'm doing the same thing, except I feel that there is safety in physical media so I'm getting my preferred version (Y) physically. I just got a bigger SD card and in the process of moving files I was not able to move saves. That may have been an error on my end but it is something to be wary of.

I actually just upgraded to the biggest supported SD card on the 3DS, so Im not worried about save transfers (plus, I just ugraded to the X/Y XL, so Im not moving systems ever).
So is the decision to go physical just in case something happens to the game files?

The digital copy should let me us backup save files just like any other digital game. The retail version though wont have the option.
