Ha enybody ever caught a legendary in the anime? If not would it be good for the series if ash or somebody catched a legendary?

The guy that owns the battle pyramid (I want to say his name is Brandon, but I might be wrong) caught a Regigigas. And a few other people have been shown to own legendaries, presumably caught off-screen, like the guy that beat Ash in the Sinnoh league, with a Darkrai and Latios

A lot of legendary Pokemon tend to like Ash. However, Ash has never made any attempt to catch one before. I'm sure more than a few wouldn't mind going along with him if he asked, but it's never happened.
