X was already more popular anyways. The new Charizard looks like something out of a gen 4 evolution SPIKES AND FIRE EVERYWHERE SO DARK AND EDGY, I'll stick with Y thank you.

I'm wondering if they do a second mega for Venusaur and Blastoise.. Will one of those megas be exclusive to Y and then the other be available in both versions? It'll be interesting seeing how this pans out.

There's no alt mega for them in the base game. So any alt venosaur and blastoise would be like event pokemon, and available for both games.
