Let's take a good look at the fire Pokemon of the competitive scene.
>HeatranA legendary Pokemon whose steel typing nullifies it's stealth rock weakness. Has a lot of handy resists and a high special attack. Also has a decent support/offensive movepool.
>VolcaronaBottom tier OU. Doesn't need to switch out once it's in, because it's a setup sweeper that accumulates power, speed, and bulk every turn.
>InfernapeFighting nullifies stealth rock weakness, has pretty good coverage, still resides on the bottom of OU.
>DarmanitanNot even OU, yet boasts the strongest unboosted move in the game off a speed stat of 95. Has U-turn so scarfed variants do not lose momentum. Weak to stealth rock. But again, not OU.
>VictiniSports STAB V-create, a fire attack with 180 (!) base power. U-turn for momentum and Bolt Strike for water types. Almost banned from UU, but not close to OU.
>>14124718Then Terrakion and Tyranitar would be a lot more popular. Have fun with them.
