What people need to realize is that both Charizards will suit different purposes. Charizard Y is obviously a Special Attacker with drought thrown onto it so it'd be more useful right off the bat

For Charizard X to be useful im pretty sure one would have to breed physical dragon moves onto it like Outrage in order for it's stronger attack to come through.

Either way, I dont play competitive so I dont really give two fucks about which version is better. I just want to play this damn game!

As much as I hate the "lel digimon" faggots, Charizard X and Charizard Y remind me heavily of what Digimon does frequently: makes an edgy counterpart, usually black and blue, to each popular Digimon. I'm sure Nintendo didn't rip them off intentionally, but it's facepalm worthy how similar it is. I'm just hoping they don't make X and Y evos with the same theme for many other Pokemon.

Please qualify what the needs are for pokemon designs. What I'm seeing is that a Pokemon that already looks like a dragon getting another revamped design to set itself apart from it's other 2 evolutions (Charizard and Mega Y Charizard).

Actually, it is. The fact that you can choose when to mega evolve and it doesn't take your turn will MASSIVELY help sun teams win weather wars. Sun is the second worst weather right now mostly because Politoed is flat out better at his job than Ninetails, more defensive, better type.

For example, if you have a mega charizard on the field, after a ninetails set up sun, you could abuse solar power, then when a Politoed or Ttar switched in to stop your sweep, go mega, strip their weather away, get sun and one turn solarbeam them.

I never represented you use it as a suicide lead. Playing weather means playing smart, and a well crafted weather team is built around it. Most people don't send in their weather user at the start, especially if they're faster than the opposing one (since you'd be at a disadvantage from the beginning).

Mega Charizard Y has advantages over Ninetales, and Ninetales has advantages over Mega Charizard Y. Once again, we'll need to see base stat comparisons, but I suspect Mega Charizard Y will hit substantially harder than Ninetales as well as be bulkier. The obvious weakness is it's 4x vulnerability to rocks, but it may be strong enough anyway. Writing it off simply because of this is simply ignorant. The sheer power of the ability itself is worthwhile.

What are the three best offensive types in the game?

He gets outsped and raped by Latias, Latios, Garchomp, and Scarfed Salamence/Haxorus and can't do SHIT because he has no held item.

And pretty much anything that runs EQ can OHKO him outright with that weak DEF.

Oh yeah, and after he takes 25% from rocks switching in a standard Charizard, you can't withdraw him, because he STILL takes 25% from rocks as Fire/Dragon.
