Mega Charizard X and Y still share the same flaw. You must send out normal Charizard first, meaning it will still be hit with sneaky pebbles.

At least Mega Zard Y gets STAB drought fire blast.

mewtwo X is psychic/fighting
mewtwo Y is psychic

feels so far like X is the more physical side since

char X is fire/dragon with higher physical
char Y is fire/flying and more special based

You can just have charizard out as the first slot. You're allowed to mega evolve and attack in the same turn.

I think most people did.
I doubt every pokemon will be like that though, doubling up on even more models would be pretty insane.
Then again X and Y are less than half of a 3DS card's max capacity as it is.

If I remember correctly, the ampharos that appeared in the japanese show mega evolved and attacked in the same turn, even though it was not in the first slot.

Have they explained how it works? Since they'll have to use this in future games, I'm thinking the item used to mega evolve would be different. That way if you're playing Y but have the item only obtainable in the X version, you can get Charizard X.

it depends on the stone, not the game.
So you could transfer the stone to get the Y exclusive in X and vice versa.
